Our process begins with our Customer Service team working with you to understand your ideas for your Christmas light display, whether you prefer a classic, understated look or a bold and festive display. After we assess your home or commercial property, our experts will create a custom design that perfectly fits your space.
Once we finalize the design, we provide a detailed estimate, covering all aspects of the installation from lights and accessories to labor and maintenance. With upfront pricing and no hidden costs, you can confidently move forward knowing exactly what to expect.

After you approve the design and estimate, we’ll find the next available appointment that works for you. The best part? You don’t even need to be home! Due to the out-door nature of the work, our professional installation team can complete the entire process while you’re away, ensuring a hassle-free experience. We’ll coordinate everything with you ahead of time, so your holiday display is ready to shine.

C6 LED double wrap installation on a house is charged at twice the standard per-strand rate.
Long light spools (30 ft or more) incur an additional installation charge of $0.20 per foot.

The rate is $140 per man-hour with a minimum charge of 2 hours. The total time required may vary based on the condition of the lights. If lights have been left up for multiple years, the crew may recommend a full removal and reinstallation.

A travel fee starting at $40 may apply to jobs outside of Calgary, including (but not limited to) Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, Priddis, and Bragg Creek. For Canmore and Banff, travel charges start at $75.

For tree installations, we recommend and price based on either C6 LED or conical LED lights, both chosen for their brightness, durability in Calgary’s winter, and ability to create a clean, professional look. Conical LEDs are ideal for dense, detailed wrapping, while C6 lights offer a beautiful, classic glow that’s perfect for larger trees.

When the holiday season comes to an end, taking down Christmas lights can feel like a hassle. Let Grey Rock Group handle it for you! Our professional Christmas light removal services are available to Calgary and surrounding communities and ensure your decorations are safely taken down, neatly packed, and ready for next year.
When Should You Book Your Light Take Down
We start our Christmas light removal service in early January and continue through to the end of February. Need your lights taken down later in the year? We offer light removal services throughout the year, subject to demand and crew availability and an off-season surcharge.
Pricing for Christmas Light Take Down Services
The removal cost for Christmas lights is 40% of the installation price, with a minimum charge of $90 plus GST.
Take-down charges may be higher for lights not installed by Grey Rock or for trees where the lights have been in place for multiple years.
Take-downs scheduled outside of January and February will incur a $30 out-of-season surcharge and will be completed intermittently based on demand and availability.

No, you do not need to be home during the installation. Simply leave any lights or accessories outside, and our customer service team will communicate all necessary instructions to the crew. We’ll ensure the installation is completed smoothly and to your specifications with minimal disruptions. You’ll arrive home to a beautifully lit home!
